TAPMI Hostel, Manipal
Project Brief
A terraced, landscape‑hugging hostel complex, stepping down the Manipal hillside. Its overall architectural language is contemporary and restrained, using horizontal bands, earthy colours and permeable jaali planes to create a cohesive identity that feels both institutional and resort‑like.
The hostel is sited on a hillock, and the buildings follow the natural contours, producing curved and linear wings that wrap an inner courtyard while addressing the valley on the outer edge.
