Apollo Hospitals, Bangalore
Location: Bannerghatta road, Bangalore
Area: 1,20,000 sft
Number of beds: 130
Status: Under construction
Scope of work: Medical planning, Interior design
Calm, contemporary interiors define this Apollo’s interior spaces, using warm timber, soft neutrals and controlled accent colours to create a hospitality‑grade healthcare environment. Each zone balances clinical efficiency with a clear focus on patient comfort and intuitive wayfinding.
Large‑format light tiles, pale wood paneling and integrated digital walls create a clean, expansive foreground, while red seating and green walls anchor the space visually. Curvilinear ceiling panels with circular luminaires subtly guide patients towards the reception, softening the otherwise orthogonal planning.
Project Brief
Bold turquoise and offf-white walls, paired with circular ceiling lights and playful artwork, turn the corridor into a patient‑friendly promenade. Doors, niches and nurse stations read clearly against these saturated backdrops, aiding orientation for patients and attendants.
Colour‑blocked corridors transform waiting into an active, legible experience
“Healing here is choreographed like a hospitality experience, where every waiting lounge, corridor and suite room is designed to make the hospital feel more like a calm city hotel infused with care.”
The continuous, rounded workstation gives staff 360‑degree visual control over beds arranged in semi‑open cubicles, ensuring privacy but maintaining supervision. A muted palette of warm wood, off‑white surfaces and soft green walls reduces anxiety, while ceiling bulkheads mark circulation paths.
A central nurse island organizes the patient beds bay like a calm, observable landscape.
