Ginni Goyal Hospitals, Raipur

Project Brief

Ginni Goyal Hospital’s overall design follows a “hotel within a hospital” idea, where every patient and family space feels like a premium suite rather than an institutional ward. The planning visually hides equipment within clean wall planes and fluted panels so that the first impression is warmth and order instead of machinery. restrained palette of sage green, warm beige and soft greys is used across rooms, corridors and the atrium to create psychological comfort and continuity. Occasional accents in brushed gold, art pieces and upholstery to introduce optimism and dignity.

Location: Raipur

Area: 3,50,000 sft

Number of floors: 2B+G+6

Status: Design development

Scope of work: Medical Planning and Interior design

The multi‑level atrium is designed as an indoor urban plaza, connecting diagnostic, OPD and retail functions visually across floors. A large skylight washes the central volume with daylight, reducing reliance on artificial lighting and creating a sense of openness rare in healthcare. Linear planters with lush greenery edge the balconies and seating zones, softening the architecture and providing micro‑moments of nature. Glass balustrades, clear sightlines to upper levels and digital signage bands help visitors intuitively understand where they are and where they need to go.

“Where clinical care meets quiet luxury, every corridor and room is designed as a healing journey rather than a hospital visit.”

Soft curves and illuminated ceilings transform a functional desk into a calm, reassuring point of contact.

The nurse station is centrally located as a sculpted island, giving clear views to both ward wings and the waiting area. The counter is designed with soft curves and under‑counter lighting, making it both approachable for patients and ergonomic for staff workflows. A backlit stretch ceiling or luminous panel lifts the main axis, while light wood, white solid surfaces and fabric‑clad walls maintain the calm tone. Art panels and comfortable lounge seating adjacent to the station signal that this is both an information hub and a welcoming front for the floor.

A hotel‑like corridor where quiet light, soft textures and concealed services replace the typical clinical monotony.

The corridors are conceived as calm, linear spines with identical door portals, creating a sense of rhythm and easy orientation for patients and staff. Recessed handrails, flush wall protection and integrated room signage keep the movement zone clean and unobstructed. For the material palette, light wood‑tone doors and wall panels are paired with softly textured wall coverings. Warm wall sconces punctuate the length of the corridor, avoiding the harshness of only overhead lighting.

A sanctuary for families within the clinical core.

The VIP lounge extends the patient suite into a full-fledged living and dining space, allowing families to stay, work, and host visitors without compromising privacy inside the medical area. Symmetrically composed feature walls, layered curtains framing the city skyline, and a central chandelier give the room the proportion and presence of a high-end apartment living room.
